RAM Restaurant & Brewery

(Blogger's Note: It's been a while since I've posted.  I just recently moved 71 miles away from where I used to live, and had a change in my daytime job.  I fully intend to get up-to-date with all the blogs still in progress to bring you the best reviews of the best breweries and brew out there.  Thank you for sticking with me!)

Later on that night, Ren and I decided to try out the RAM Restaurant & Brewery in North Seattle.  Not a bad place and there are several of them in the area.

While I don't have a lot of details from my actual trip here, this was a significant night because this was the night I made plans to return to Pennsylvania to help my best friend & family move and to see my sister for the first time in 2 years.  I did a lot of Facetiming in this restaurant, as people very important to my life were who I remember seeing, talking, texting and sharing this moment with.

As you approach the door, you can see the massive tanks used to make the brew.  It's cool to stand beside one and really see just how big something has to be to make an entire batch.

The food was very good.  I got a burger and it paired well with the beer.  Most of the menu looked pretty good, so chances are you can't go wrong.

Overall, the place was pretty good.  As a chain restaurant, it has had it's success and has moved on to present itself as a bigger brand in the area.  I'd recommend checking it out.

On my Tap for the Evening was:

- Blonde
Style: Blonde
Brewery: RAM Brewery
Untapped Rating: 2.75/5
Description: Smooth, clear, light
Comments: The Blonde Ale was a smooth and clear light beer.  I could see most enjoying this, but for me when I drink Blonde ales, I look for a certain element that stands out.  It wasn't the greatest blonde ale for me personally, but if you enjoy light beer normally, you will certainly enjoy this brew.

- Hefeweizen
Style: Hefeweizen
Brewery: RAM Brewery
Untapped Rating: 3/5
Description: Smooth, crisp, banana flavors
Comments: This beer had a sharp crisp taste.  It added to that effect with flavors of banana that gave it a more sweeter sip, and to top it off, it went down smooth.  Good Stuff.

- Buttface
Style: Amber Ale
Brewery: RAM Brewery
Untapped Rating: 3/5
Description: Nice malty Amber Ale, Hoppy
Comments: This Amber had a nice sort of darker sip to it that was sufficiently malty, and carried a nice hop to go with it.  Definitely worth checking out.

- Disorder
Style: Porter
Brewery: RAM Brewery
Untapped Rating: 2.75/5
Description: "Nice strong, dark, coffee beer"
Comments: This beer makes for a good dessert beer as an alternative to coffee.  It had a darker taste, with coffee flavor, and pairs well with sweeter foods.

- 71
Style: Pale Ale
Brewery: RAM Brewery
Untapped Rating: 2.75/5
Description: "Good Pale Ale, bitter, citrusy"
Comments: The 71 is a decent pale ale that gets the job done.  It provides a bitter pale taste and has citrus flavors to give it more taste.

- Big Red
Style: IPA
Brewery: RAM Brewery
Untapped Rating: 2.75/5
Description: "Bitter, smooth, crisp"
Comments: This IPA went down smoothly.  It carried a nice and crisp taste, with bitterness on the aftertaste.  Not a bad IPA.
